If you want to experience an archipelago idyll with proximity to the pulse of the big city and at the same time enjoy the tranquility of the island, Asperö is perfect. You will really enjoy yourself in this large house with a magical sea view!
Directly when you enter the spacious hall, there is a bedroom on the right. The ground floor also has a toilet and in the lounge with a wood-burning stove there is a sofa bed for two people. Other rooms on this level apart from the laundry room are private storage areas. Upstairs is the living room, which has a large social area with sofas and a dining table. A wonderful place to relax with the opportunity for the musical to play something atmospheric on the piano. Large windows let in the light and the room has access to the balcony, all with an absolutely fantastic view of the sea! A hall leads on to three bedrooms with lovely beds to recover from the day's experiences. The house has a spacious kitchen with room for the whole party. Take the coffee cup out on the balcony and look out over the cliffs and sea. Bathroom with toilet and shower is on this floor.
On the lake "Musta" the islanders go skating in the winter and the lake is very beautiful in the summer. A walking path called the "Loop" goes past the lake and takes you around the entire island, up to Asperö's highest peak 'Valen', past the child-friendly bathing area 'Kvistevik' and down into the harbor and the old village. Depending on how long the stops are along the way, the "Loop" takes about 60 minutes to go around. From here the view is incomparable. Partly towards the Karlatornet inside the city of Gothenburg, partly out into the archipelago and the other islands. The strong light from Vinga Lighthouse is also visible from the mountain 'Valen'.
Asperö is a living archipelago island in the southern part of Gothenburg's archipelago with approximately 460 permanent residents. The island, which is car-free, is closest to Saltholmen, where the ferry departs and the crossing takes only about 10 minutes. Asperö has many nice sunbathing and swimming cliffs. If you want an active holiday, there is both a beach volleyball court and kayak rental on the island. Wholesale shopping on the mainland and complementary shopping in the well-stocked country store located approx. 200m from your house. During the summer there is also a kiosk in the marina.
If you want to eat at a restaurant, you either go to Gothenburg or to the neighboring island of Brännö, which has both an inn and a restaurant in the harbour.
Welcome to idyllic Asperö!
