About the holiday home

Well-kept and bright holiday cottage with swimming pool and whirlpool located just approx. 10 minutes walk from the activity area in Jegum Ferieland.

The decor of the house makes it suitable for 1 to 2 families sharing as there are various outdoor toys, sauna, 6 person outdoor whirlpool and a 22 m² large swimming pool.

The house has a good layout with open concept living and dining room in open connection to the well-equipped kitchen. From the living room you have views of and access to the garden and the terrace which is surrounded by a 1 m tall wall.

You can observe the children playing in the pool from the dining area and the kitchen. International TV channels, satellite dish, cable-TV, DVD player, wood-burning stove and energy-efficient heat pumps for both the large living room but also for the pool.

There are 2 bathrooms with shower cubicles and 5 bedrooms.

There are charging sockets for electric car Type 2 - IEC 62196-2 - bring your own socket.

About the area

About Jegum

Jegum Ferieland is a cottage area from 1978 with lots of space surrounding the many holiday cottages. The play area at the main building is open to everyone. In the area you can observe the birds and game that thrive in the area surrounding Jegum. There are 11 km nature paths in the area where you can go for walks, runs or bike rides. Along the paths you will find benches where you can sit and observe nature. Take a small trip to north-west corner of Jegum where you will an unspoilt countryside at Søvig Bæk (creek). The area is peaceful and you can truly enjoy the peace and quiet.

Jegum Ferieland is located amidst on of Denmark's largest recreational areas approx. 10-12 km from good sandy beaches. The beach closest by is Børsmose where you can drive you car all the way to the water's edge. When staying in Jegum you can choose between the beaches at Skallingen, Blåvand, Vejers, Grærup or Henne.

From Jegum you have approx. 5 km to the water park with sauna in Oksbøl, 60 km to Legoland and just approx. 30 to Esbjerg with good shopping and various museums. A holiday in Jegum Ferieland provides plenty of holiday experiences.

About Sydlige vestkyst

The south western coast is a summer paradise. Nothing compares to the wide and sandy beaches, high dunes and cosy hollows where you can settle down and enjoy your privacy.

For many tourists, the visit to the south western coast means love at first sight. This place offers everything: Long walks under the blue sky, the clouds with their strange forms changing all the time while you are comfortably lying on the beach listening to the sound of the waves, perfect wide beaches where to fly a kite and the sea and the Ringkøbing Fiord - the windsurfers’ paradise. If you prefer to remain at the edge of the water, you can collect amber and shells. Each and everyone can feel free and at ease. Outside the summer season, when the wind blows heavily, there is a really special atmosphere at the west coast. Feel the wind in your hair and return to your cosy house for a nice cup of coffee in front of the fireplace.

In this area you will find the famous holiday resorts like Blåvand and Henne Strand. Blåvand is situated at the westernmost point in Denmark, surrounded by water with the Ho Bugt to the east, the Esperance Bugt to the south and the North Sea to the west. When going a little bit northward on the coast you will find Henne Strand. Both holidays resorts are known for their beach life, shopping and activities for children. The magnificent nature here is consisting in heather areas, dunes and beaches. A summer holiday in this part of Denmark means a fantastic beach holiday.

Before the holiday

Rental agreement and directions

Shortly after booking holiday accommodation through DanCenter you will receive your booking confirmation. This confirmation constitutes your rental agreement containing all necessary information. On the first page you will find information about the addresses of your holiday home and the key pick up place, as well as a directions on how to find the house. On the following pages you will find the invoice for the stay you have booked complete with transfer order/inpayment form, stating the due dates.

On arrival at the key pick up point, you will be asked to present your rental agreement whereupon you will be handed your key as well as an electricity-envelope on which the meter readings of all consumption dependant expenses (electricity, heating, water, etc.) are to be noted upon arrival as well as departure.

Time of arrival

Arrival can take place from 4 p.m. on the day the rental period commences.

Arrival outside opening hours

If you can not reach your destination until eg. late evening, our local offices will be closed. Therefore please contact us in time to make arrangements with regards to the key and the deposit. The contact information of the local office can be found on your rental agreement or under the menu Kontakt on dancenter.dk

Extras

All holiday homes are equipped with all kitchen utensils, duvets and pillows necessary for the maximum amount of persons, which the house can room. Bed linen, dish cloths, table cloths etc. can be rented at the local office or online, if you prefer not to bring these items yourselves.

When you book a baby cot, please note that we can not guarantee space for the cot in the master bedroom. If the house description say there is a cot in the house and you only need one, booking is unnecessary.

You can also book delivery of the extras you rent. This way you do not need to drive several times between the holiday home and local office.

Please note that in high season, extras might be sold out. Therefore we recommend you to always book extras and final cleaning when booking your holiday home.

What is a cleaning audit charge?

We charge customers a small cleaning audit fee to prepare the room for the next guest, even as some outgoing guests prefer to clean the room themselves. Are such guests still required to pay a cleaning charge? Yes. Please let us explain.

While we appreciate guests cleaning the room themselves, we nonetheless conduct an audit to ensure that the room is in excellent shape. The cleaning audit fee we levy is for the time and effort involved in checking that our cleaning standards have been met, so that we can provide our customers with the best experience.

“Das Haus ist fantastisch ausgestattet. Es war sehr sauber bei der Anreise. Die Betten sind bequem, der Pool ist ausreichend warm und schön groß, die Lage ist toll. Insgesamt ein tolles Haus. Wir kennen einige Häuser, da wir seid 16 Jahren jedes Jahr nach Dänemark fahren. Ein einziger Kritikpunkt wäre, dass sich ein Schlafzimmer mit einem Etagenbett direkt im Eingangsbereich befindet. Es ist unfassbar klein und ungünstig gelegen. Ich würde sagen, dass es von Erwachsenen nicht bewohnt werden kann und Kinder lässt man wiederum dort nicht schlafen. Wir würden das Haus nicht für 10 Personen buchen, maximal mit 8 plus Kleinkind (wenn es bei den Eltern schläft). Das Schlafzimmer im Eingangsbereich dient eher einem Abstellraum.”

“Das Fischerrei und Seefahrt Museum in Esberg ist klasse, Blavand mit der Einkaufspasage, mit dem Laden in dem man Kerzen ziehen kann ist immer ein Ausflug wert, genauso wie der Leuchturm und der Zoo in Blavand. Legoland ist auch nur eine Auto Stunde entfernt und lohnt sich mit Kindern immer. Das Jegum Ferienland Kaffee ist vom Haus zu Fuß gut zu erreichen und bietet neben einem schönen Spielplatz, Minigolf und Billard auch einen Ziegenstreichel Bereich.”

“Der Pool war klasse, der Garten bietet Kindern tolle Spielmöglichkeiten, das Sofa ist gemütlich. Die Badezimmer sind geräumig und die Duschen groß. Die Ausstattung in der Küche ist sehr gut. / / Was leider nicht so gut war: Einige Betten waren durch gelegen, Das Hochbett hat einen zu niedrigen Rausfallschutz somit ist es für Kinder nicht geeignet. Die Spielekonsole im Wohnzimmer ist defekt. Und mit mehr wie 6 Leuten sollte man im Urlaub nicht sein. Da der Platz im Haus dafür einfach nicht reicht. Wir waren zu 5. Und dadurch hatten wir genügend Platz alles unterzubringen und die Schlafplätze so zu tauschen, dass keiner in einem durch gelegenem Bett schlafen konnte. Alles in allem werden wir das Haus wieder buchen, da es uns sehr gut gefallen hat.”
