Gerani is a small town with a quiet, family-friendly beach and is located about 15 kilometers west of Chania. The landscape is characterized by citrus and olive trees. There are supermarkets, a butcher's shop, a bakery, a pastry shop and a pharmacy as well as several taverns. Everything is rather quiet and family-oriented - you won't find any hotels here. But that is also what makes the place so attractive. If you want more hustle and bustle, it is a 20-minute walk to the neighboring town of Platanias, where there is a lively, ten-kilometer-long beach and plenty of entertainment options.

Activities nearby: All facilities of the Hotel Geraniotis Beach (2.8 km) can be used. These include two pools and a communal lounge as well as the fun club with aqua fitness, beach volleyball and various theme days and sports tournaments. How about a trip into the green hinterland of the island? The typical villages of Pano Gerani, Manoliopoulou, Modi, Loutraki and also the mountain villages of Vatolako and Patelari give you an authentic impression of the local way of life with their orange and lemon groves. Day trips to the Elafonissi nature reserve with its flat sandy beaches or to the dune beaches of Falassarna in the west of Crete are also worthwhile. 1. When you have booked a holiday through us, you will receive a booking confirmation shortly after.

Details as to collection of keys will be informed per e-mail at the latest 3 weeks before arrival day.

Arrival day

In general the holiday home will be ready for you from 4pm on the arrival day.

Arrival outside opening hours

If you arrive late in the evening, the reception/key collection place will be closed. Please check in good time how to behave in such cases.

Extra services

All the apartments have kitchen equipment for the number of persons for which the apartment is meant. In some cases linen and towels can be ordered - for further info pls see the description of the holiday home on DanCenter.dk under "extra services". Here it will also appear if it is possible to book other equipment such as a cot, a high chair for babies etc.

Tourist fee: A few of the holiday resorts have a tourist fee to pay at arrival.

What is a cleaning audit charge?

We charge customers a small cleaning audit fee to prepare the room for the next guest, even as some outgoing guests prefer to clean the room themselves. Are such guests still required to pay a cleaning charge? Yes. Please let us explain.

While we appreciate guests cleaning the room themselves, we nonetheless conduct an audit to ensure that the room is in excellent shape. The cleaning audit fee we levy is for the time and effort involved in checking that our cleaning standards have been met, so that we can provide our customers with the best experience.
