This cosy 2 bedroom apartment situated in Belgium can host 6 guests. The house is a child-friendly apartment with a beautiful surrounding and is located in Gros-Fays.

The historical Bouillon with its reinforced citadel is 20 km. A lot of sport possibilities in the close surroundings: kayak on the Semois, mountain biking, horse riding, fishing, tennis and mini-golf. The forest is 500 m away with the town centre, general supplies, restaurants and the public transport being at a distance of 4 km each. France is less than 20 km away. The nearby supermarket delivers to your doorstep.

The apartment provides you with various amenities which include a terrace, barbecue and a partially fenced garden shared with the other guests. You also get a table tennis table for leisure time.

“The apartment is part of an apartment complex. Our apartment on the first floor had a beautiful view over the valley. On arrival there was a key ready in a key safe. Later in the evening a concierge came by to explain everything. The decor is fine, unfortunately not clean. It was explained how the waste should be separated. Logistically complicated, because the plastic and paper and residual waste have to be collected on the ground floor. There were no garbage bags available for this. On request, the caretaker brought a small blue bag the following Monday. In the living room we had collected the waste ourselves in separate bins. The beds were not fresh and were not comfortable. Table tennis table is skewed and had to be cleaned due to growing moss. Upon departure, the caretaker checked the apartment. What was striking is that this elderly lady complained about her joints. Focus was how we had left the apartment. Felt it was all too much for her. Didn't really feel welcome.”

“Stay itself was okay, but the concierge was downright rude. Was yelling at me like I was a dog because I hadn't finished unloading the dishwasher when she came to check (much ahead of schedule).”

“A wonderfully peaceful place. With a great view. At least we were on the right side of the apartment complex. If you would like to sit outside, you should bring your own good chairs. What it says was broken or not something to sit on for long. The bed was fine, but very creaky. There are eight apartments when they are all occupied it is very noisy.”

“Very neat house with many amenities and conveniences. Large bedroom and bathroom. Beds are fine. There was no TV reception in our period. The apartment has a nice view. A bit noisy with the neighbors on the side. Nice leisure center nearby. The concierge will check everything on departure. We wanted to leave earlier and she was flexible about that. Also we thought all beds were single but the double bed also requires a double fitted sheet and duvet cover. Luckily we were able to rent it from her.”

Very quiet location in a fantastic walking area. Good and smooth contacts with the concierge at the beginning and at the end of our stay. Definitely worth repeating!”

“The apartment was beautifully situated in a walking area and was well equipped, with a nice wood stove. But I thought the double bed was much too narrow for two people and there were therefore not 6 full beds (two single beds with a trundle bed and that narrow double bed). The shower had hardly any water power and so a bathtub was impossible to fill. There was also cobwebs in the bathroom. What I also found annoying was that it was not possible to communicate by e-mail. The concierge only spoke French and not everyone speaks that. Fortunately I could get by with my basic knowledge, but it would have been easier by email. Overall, our experience was decent. Unfortunately”

“We were not informed that nothing was present: no toilet paper, no bags for the trash cans, no bed linen, no towels, no dishcloths, no detergent for the dishes, no tablets for the dishwasher ... well, a very cold shower upon arrival and start of our “vacation”. We felt like going back home right away. Better there.”

“Very nice and cozy apartment. All appliances work properly, pleasant lighting and a beautiful view. It is useful that the dirty shoes can be left in the hallway downstairs. It quickly became nice and warm, especially with the fireplace. We found the reception and the check on departure a little less. It is good that there is a caretaker who checks everything and takes her job seriously. But I did think it was strange to be immediately told on arrival and on departure what to do if we were to break or stain something ... Strange to hear the first greeting: Good morning, didn't you break anything? It is obvious that this is checked, but the style was not so warm.”

“The house is fine, as is the environment (which is more suitable for motorcyclists than for hikers) but the key lady is just a jerk. She came in, we do not speak French and she does not speak English or Dutch so communication was extremely frustrating, as was her request to leave many hours earlier on the day of departure than the time we had booked. The cleaning fee also had to be paid immediately, which again necessitated a previously planned visit to the nearest town where one of us rolled his wallet. All in all .. communication was ... $% ^ & *”

“Accommodation itself OK. However, hostess unfriendly and rude. Only speaks French, which was no problem for us, but she came every day to see if everything was going well. However, we liked our peace and privacy and did not find this polite. In addition, she charged us a lot of money in the end for things we would have dirty or broken: according to her the sheets were dirty and we had to pay her to wash them (seems logical to us that you wash sheets for the next guests?), according to her, cups were missing (we hadn't used cups ...), ... Furthermore, a part of the money had to be paid in the beginning anyway. When we asked for a bill / proof she refused to give it to us. As a result, a lot of cash expenses were incurred that are not determined anywhere ...”
